Signs of More South Main Street Work

Replacement of gas main first step in latest round of South Main Street revitalization work

Construction company trucks, temporary orange fencing, marked areas and construction materials are once again familiar sights along South Main Street. The current phase of work involves replacing the gas line between Route 304 and Third Street. The work, which began Monday, is expected to last about 10 days.

Businesses will remain open and accessible during the gas line replacement work. The following stage of work on will deal with drainage.   Other aspects of the revitalization include road repaving, new sidewalks, light poles and benches.

I would like business owners on South Main to know that Mr Morano ( owner of Morano Construction ) is personally on the street at all times. Seeing this should be reassuring for everyone. He is there to make sure everything is done correctly and that businesses are accessible as well as having traffic move smoothly. If any issues arise, he is available. Steve W. Pres.
