The Clarkstown Town Board scheduled public hearings for Tuesday, Nov. 20 and Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 8 p.m. The hearing next week concerns final approval of the map designating boundary lines for the Nanuet Fire District. Rockland County GEIS created the map, which has been approved by the Nanuet Fire District Board of Commissioners.
The Dec. 11 public hearing seeks input on amending local law to allow Neighborhood Shopping zoning. The measure is explained as furthering the “goals and objectives of the town’s Comprehensive Plan by allowing for areas of small commercial and mixed use development.”
At Thursday’s meeting, the board also approved its monthly meeting and workshop schedule for 2013. Workshops are typically held once a month on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. and board meetings are held monthly on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. See the attached PDF for specific dates.
