UPDATED: Addarich Retires As Barr Assistant Principal

A. MacArthur Barr Middle School Assistant Principal Ruben Addarich retired earlier this month. Nanuet School Superintendent Dr. Mark McNeill made the announcement early Monday that Addarich decided to retire and had submitted his resignation on August 3. The district’s Director of Athletics Frank Mazzuca has been appointed as interim assistant principal.

Addarich worked in the Nanuet district for 12 years. McNeill said the search for a permanent assistant principal would begin in the fall.

Mazzuca received his Bachelor’s Degree from Manhattan College, as well as three Masters Degrees in the areas of Reading, Special Education and School Administration.  For Mazzuca, it is a return to the middle school. From 1988 to 2001 he held the position of assistant principal and later associate principal.   During that time, he organized the Annual Father-Daughter Dance and Fifth Grade Family Fun Nights.
