20-Year Reunion: Albertus Magnus Class of 1991

Classmates traveled far and wide for this 20-year reunion

Who will you remember 20 years from now? Who have you lost touch with in the lst 20 years?

The Albertus Magnus High School class of 1991 celebrated their 20-year reunion at the Comfort Inn's Regency Ballroom in Nanuet this past Saturday. Patrick Holt, also known as PJ the DJ, played tunes from the late 80's and early 90's as the classmates caught up with each other.

"The reunion is a blast!" said Lesley Leppert McKeever. "One of the many benefits of going to a smaller high school is the bond you make with many people. It did not feel like 20 years went by and everyone seemed able to pick up friendships without missing a beat. We should do it every year."

Some of the attendees travelled from as far as Iowa, Florida and Virginia. Therefore, the Comfort Inn appeared to be a perfect venue and was most accommodating.

"It is really great to see so many people, it's been a great night full of laughs," said Phil Murphy.

The DJ set the mood in the beginning of the night playing throw back songs from artists such as MC Hammer. He had the crowd up and on the dance floor for a good part of the night.

"It was a great night where friends reconnected, shared memories, and most importantly laughed," said Siobhan Gill Langa. "I am so blessed to have had amazing friends from Albertus to this day, and feel lucky to enjoy nights like Saturday where you see classmates you haven't seen in a few years and enjoy their company. It was a great night full of Albertus memories and traditions."

The same sentiment seemed to be shared by most of the attendees.

"The night was a fabulous success," said Colleen Kelly. "Even though 20 years have past, you wouldn't know it. We all became a little better. I hope that we all continue to keep in touch."

The consensus seemed to be that it was a fun night with good people.
