Barr Students Put Out Pinwheels for Peace(VIDEO)

Friday was International Peace Day and Barr 5th and 6th graders created Pinwheels for Peace and placed them in front of the school to create a visual public statement about peace. This is the 6th year Barr has done this

Art teachers Jacqueline Almonte and Denise Pentimone have involved their Barr Middle School students in the Pinwheels for Peace event for six years.

"Pinwheels for Peace is a way to observe International Peace Day (Sept. 21) in a fun and creative way," said Almonte.
