Even though it was a dreary day, came out to give their two cents and vote on the budget and board members on Tuesday. Both the Library and School Board budgets were approved by voters.

"The budget passed thanks to the community of Nanuet, which is a great community. We're very happy with their vote and support," said Nanuet School Board President Anne Byrne. "We'll do our best to be as fiscally conservative as possible."
The Board has a to fill this year. Board Member Pamela Cirilli is not returning to the board and Tim Donnelly beat Lisa Filatov for the spot. He was voted into a 5-year term
Voters were asked to choose two out of the three candidates for the Nanuet board of education. Sarah Chauncey and Ed Dingman made the cut over Scott Walters.
They was voted into 3-year terms.
"I'm very happy and relieved. I'm glad to be working for the next three years with the board, administration and staff to better serve the Nanuet school district and community," said Dingman.
"I'm honored to be doing this again. I love Nanuet," said Chauncey. "I appreciate the opportunity to do this again. It'll be my 16th year on the board."
