Nanuet fifth graders graduated from the DARE program today in a ceremony at Nanuet High School. The DARE program teaches students about the dangers of drinking, smoking and drugs. The 12 week DARE program at Barr Middle School included discussions about decision making, training to use assertive responses in questionable situations and role playing using refusal skills. Clarkstown elected officials and DARE and other police officers attended the ceremony.
