Eat Local for Nanuet Life Skills Class Fundraiser

The Bella Luna Pizza fundraiser is on Tuesday, Oct. 30. Proceeds will go toward the Nanuet Life Skills class. They use the money to go shopping to fulfill holiday wish lists from under-privileged Rockland County families

Teacher Nancy Logan is getting her Life Skills class at Nanuet High School to be community minded during the holiday season. The class selects letters that were sent to People to People from under-privileged Rockland County families and will go shopping to fulfill these holiday wishes.

This is not the first time Logan's done this project with her Life Skills class. This project also makes students learn how to shop on a budget. To raise funds to buy items off the holiday wish lists, the class is hosting a fundraiser on Tuesday, Oct. 30 at Bella Luna Brick Oven Pizza and Restaurant.

"A percentage of all sales for the day will come back to us to raise money for our shopping trips for the children we ‘adopt' through People to People," said Logan.

Buy any meal for lunch or dinner. Have it delivered, pick it up or eat in the restaurant. Bella Luna will give the class a percentage of all orders. Bella Luna Owner Rob Krasniqi is a Nanuet HS graduate and is no stranger to giving back to the Nanuet community.
