Come speak with people from the program and get information about internships and job opportunities.  You can earn an Associate of Applied Science or a post-degree certificate in Paralegal Studies at RCC, and the program is approved by the American Bar Association.  RCC has a dedicated paralegal staff to assist with job placement for students and graduates, and all course instructors are professional attornys or paralegals with many years of experience.

According to the US Department of Labor website - employment of paralegals and legal assistants is projected to grow 28% between 2008 and 2018, much faster than the average for all occupations. “They regularly rank the paralegal field as one of the fastest growing in the nation,” said Deborah Vinecour, Esq., Chair/Associate Professor, Paralegal Program. Vinecour, also notes, “There are so many different varieties of paralegal work, and RCC offers a good generalized paralegal education. It’s a wonderful starting point for anyone.”

For more information, please contact Deborah Vinecour Esq. at 845-574-4169, dvinecou@sunyrockland.edu or visit www.sunyrockland.edu/paralegal.
Paralegals are not licensed to practice law; they work under the supervision of an attorney.

This is just ridiculous. There are two aspects to our water. Supply and demand. United WaterRead More control our supply and have been instructed by the NY Public Service Commission to increase our supply. Our politicians control our demand. They could enact legislation to restrict demand tomorrow: Introduce water saving measures, restrict growth and introduce incentives and policies to conserve, but do they? No, of course not, they would rather showboat and slam UW, who are doing what the State has mandated. If our local politicians are serious on this issue, propose real legislation and water conservation measure, not just baseless rebuke of UW.
