Nanuet Music Teacher Granted Tenure

Alex Fung, a music teacher in the Nanuet School District was granted Tenure at Tuesday’s School Board Meeting. His tenure will be effective Jan. 5, 2012 in the Special Academic Tenure Area of Music

“We usually do our (approval of teacher tenures) in the spring, but it depends on when someone is hired,” said Board President Anne Byrne. “It does us great pleasure as a board to grant tenure to a teacher. It means (he has) gone above and beyond to get tenure so congratulations.”
