Nanuet Residents Earn Academic Recognition

College honor Society inductees and graduates

 

Local students have been named to honor societies and others will be receiving undergraduate and graduate degrees.  

Amanda Banks, who attends Dominican College, was inducted during the spring semester into Phi Alpha, the national honor society in Social Work.

Marco Oliveros, who attends Dominican College, was inducted into Psi Chi, the national and international honor society in Psychology during the spring semester.

Sasivardhan Reddy will receive a Master of Business Administration degree at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth graduate commencement this weekend. An estimated 462 graduate students will receive masters and doctoral degrees.

On May 18, the following residents will receive undergraduate degrees from SUNY Oswego: Talia C. Berk in adolescence education; Nora Krasniqi in childhood education; Dony Kuriakose in business administration; Amanda M. Smith in psychology, cum laude; Derek M. Suarez in adolescence education and Anh T. Trinh in biology, cum laude. A student who graduates with cum laude, with honor has a grade average of 3.30 to 3.59.
