It was an agreement with the Town of Clarkstown for a school resource officer (SRO) for the following school year in the amount of $35,751.84. Nanuet School Board Member Charleen Caulk was the only one to vote against this item.

“He’s getting a raise, which we didn’t negotiate. He gets overtime, which (I didn’t know) and we don’t tell him what to do. The police department tells him what to do,” ” said Caulk. “So I think (35,751.84) … should come from the police department, which is his employer.”

She also added that her vote ‘no’ was not because “he doesn’t do a good job… I’m sure he does a good job. I’m voting ‘no’ because I don’t think we should be the ones paying for him.”
