Senator Carlucci and Legislator Day Read to Students At Little Tor Elementary

Reading highlights Dr. Seuss's birthday

In honor of the late Dr. Seuss’s birthday, Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Orange) and County Legislator Ed Day (R-New City/Pomona) visited Little Tor Elementary School in New City to read one of his most famous books.

Carlucci read "The Lorax" to Mr. Mallon’s fifth grade class. And Day read the 1971 book to the students in Mrs. Carlson's kindergarten class.

Little Tor Elementary is partaking in the Rockland Read-In program as part of Read Across America Day and Green Eggs and Ham Day held today.

Two very good politicians with bright political futures ahead of them. I would love for David Carlucci to learn leadership and courage from Ed Day. If he can do that, he can become a politician who actually makes a difference rather than a politician who collects a paycheck and a great benefit package. David, you are still very young. If you can find the courage to fight for our highest principles, you can have an exceptional career, rather than become just another career politician.

I agree 100% with Mike. Don't become the standard ineffective career politician. We have too many of those already.
