Shop Local Benefit Boutiques for Holiday Gifts
There are several coming up so jot them down in your calendars
It's the season of giving, but it's also the season of Holiday shopping. Why not cash in on both at the same time? Holiday Boutiques are local opportunities to support a good cause and check off items on that Holiday gift list for family and friends.
The Holiday Boutiques usually benefit the hosting organization or there is a charitable feature and here are some that are just around the corner:
Thursday, Dec. 1:

Tricky Tray and Holiday Chinese Auction
- Begins 6:30 p.m. at Congers Community Center (6 Gilchrest Rd, Congers)
- Admission of $15 includes dessert and coffee
- To reserve a seat call Sue at (845) 664-2823; Walk-ins welcome
- First drawing at 7:45 p.m.—Combine packages available/special pricing
- Blue tickets $2 per ticket- $25-50 value
- Red tickets $3 per ticket- $50-100 value
- Green tickets $5 per ticket- $100+ value
- Yellow tickets $ 10 per ticket- $200 + value
- Adults only (16 years and up)
- Approximately 150 baskets, gift certificates and prizes; 50/50 and Flat Screen TV raffle; ipod touch; Jet Blue tickets; hotel overnight with dinner for two; four different premiere golf course foursomes with carts; boat slip for Stony Point Marina; sports stuff; 50+ gift certificates, and much more!
- 100% of all proceeds will be donated to Hudson Valley SPCA

- Shopping days: Dec 2, 6, 9, 13, 16, 20
- The new RSVP Thrift Shop opened on Friday, Nov. 4
- This is a fundraising project for RSVP, sponsored locally by Rockland Community College, that mobilizes volunteers 55+ and assigns them to assist non-profit organizations by helping them to increase their capacity to serve their clients.
- Items for sale include infant, children and adult clothing, toys, games and puzzles, books for children and adults, cds, tapes, records, dvds, antiques, collectables, glassware, dishes, small appliances, electrical items, television, cameras and lots more
Clarkstown South's Holiday Boutique and Tricky Tray

- Youth for Hospice is hosting a table at the holiday boutique held by Our Lady of Sacred Heart in Tappan and all proceeds from the table will benefit UHR.
- Stop by and do some great holiday shopping – there are holiday notecards, beautiful beaded African bracelets, silicon Youth for Hospice bracelets and stars for sale to be put on the Trees at the Tree of Life table at the Palisades Center
- 12 - 7 p.m. at Stony Point Camp Venture (58 Oak Colony Road, Stony Point, NY)
- Hi-Tor Animal Care Center and Camp Venture are partnering in this holiday fair for animal lovers
- It will feature holiday shopping, photos with santa, Christmas tree and Wreath sales, visit with farm animals, face painting, hayrides, Border Collie demonstrations and holiday music.
- All proceeds from this event will be shared evenly by Camp Venture and Hi-Tor Animal Care Center for the benefit of Camp Venture's therapeutic equestrian program and the care of Hi-Tor's homeless pets.
- A tree lighting ceremony at M&T Bank will begin at 6 p.m.
- Participating shops, galleries and restaurants in Piermont will stay open late.
- Receive a 10 percent shopping discount/free dessert at participating stores and restaurants with the donation of a non-perishable food item.
Sunday, Dec. 4

- 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Montebello Jewish Center (34 Montebello Road, Suffern, NY)
- Find the most unique, meaningful and beautiful gifts for everyone on your holiday shopping list at Montebello Jewish Center’s annual Holiday Boutique
- Over 30 vendors with a variety of jewelry, toys, Judaica, trendy clothing, home decor, kitchen necessities, gourmet kosher foods, cosmetics, pocketbooks and accessories, a gold buyer, and more

Tuesday, Dec. 6
- 7 - 9 p.m. at Bardonia Elementary School (31 Bardonia Rd, Bardonia, NY 10954)
- A holiday event for the whole family, featuring a Kids Mall where children can shop for parents and grandparents, teachers and friends! Pricing for items start at $.25, and most items are $3.00 or less!
- Adults can shop at our Holiday Boutique, with numerous local vendors including Stella & Dot, Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, Jaded Koi Jewels, Mary Kay, Beading Buddies, Tupperware, lia sophia, American Gold & Diamond Buyers, Partylite, Eagel Sports Promotions, Sports Fan-Greetings, O’Baby Gear and many, many more!
- We will have refreshments available, a gift-wrapping station and lots of festive holiday fun!
- All proceeds from this event go to help fund PTA sponsored Cultural Arts events for the children at Bardonia Elementary School.
