Student Athletes Awarded For Winter Sports At Nanuet High School

Winter varsity sports award dinner.

As the winter varsity sports season draws to a close, the athletes along with their parents, coaches and administrators gathered for the awards banquet at Nanuet High School. Each coach introduced their team, spoke about the highlights of the season, and awarded Most Improved Player (MIP) and Most Valuable Player (MVP) to the students.  

Also announced were the accomplished athletes who received All-Section and All-League awards. Wrestling led the way receiving eight All-Section and 10 All-League awards. Winter Track & Field followed closely behind with eight All-Section and six All-League awards.

The NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete list was most impressive. To achieve a Scholar-Athlete Team Award, the team must have a team grade of 90 or above for the winter sports season. The Scholar-Athletes teams were Boys' Track & Field, Girls' Track & Field, Wrestling, Girls' Basketball, Girls' Bowling.
