Sunday: Nanuet's K-12 Celebration of the Arts

Stop by the Nanuet Library from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, May 20 to support your fellow Knights and appreciate some great artwork

 

In every Nanuet school building, artwork from that school's grade levels are proudly displayed. However, this Sunday, about 500 works of art from all grades K-12 will fill the Community Room at the  

"The ‘Celebration of the Arts’ is a district-wide arts show that features a selection of work completed during the school year," said Nanuet HS Teacher Laura Nicholls. "The Community Room at the Nanuet Public Library will be filled with approximately 500 colorful and exciting 2- and 3-D work produced by our youngest Kindergarten students to our graduating seniors."

The Show opens on Sunday, May 20 at 1 p.m. with an opening reception celebration from 1-3 p.m.

Nicholls asked art teachers from each school to provide a few examples for a quick sneak peek of what's to come on Sunday.

"Most of the artworks will remain on display for about two weeks. Portable things will only be on display for one day," said Nicholls.
