Teach Your Teen to Drive Safely

Sign up quickly for the Nanuet High School Driver Education program because orientation is this Tuesday.

Everyone knows the stereotype when they see a teenager behind the wheel of a car. Teach your teen to drive safely with this Driver Education program by the Nanuet Family Resource Center and the Rockland 21st Century Collaborative for Children & Youth.

Register for the fall program quickly though, because orientation is this Tuesday, September 21 at the Nanuet High School Media Center.

There are several benefits of this course: teaching your adolescent to drive safely, senior driving privileges at 17 and lower insurance premiums from certain insurance companies.

Family Resource Center Director RoseAnne Mercado reccomends this course for all teenagers that are starting to or have started driving. PAS Auto School provides the driving instruction for this course.

The fall program starts the week of October 4th and continues for 16 weeks. Each student will attend one 90-minute session each week and preference for specific days are on the application.

The cost for students in the Nanuet district is $465 and for out-of-district students is $490. Course requirements and assignments are given out at the mandatory orientation. Payment must be submitted with the application.
