Albertus Magnus Girls Defeat Nanuet 49-32

Albertus Magnus High School Girls Basketball won their home game against Nanuet on Wednesday night, 49-32.
The Falcons move on to play Pearl River in the Class A semifinals Thursday, Mach 1 at the Westchester County Center. Pearl River beat John Jay, 75-52, Wednesday.
"We didn't have as good of a second half as the first half. They pressured a little bit better and we didn't match their pressure," said Nanuet Head Coach Carlos Fidalgo.

"I think the best thing tonight was that we had contribution from everybody. We were banged up a little tonight, a couple injuries but we got through it. I'm happy we got the win," said Albertus Head Coach Pat Buckley. "Like everything else, we will try to get better. Hopefully we'll play our best (against Pearl River)."
After half time, Albertus outscored them 18 to 4 in the third quarter. Albertus's Ryan Doherty was the game's leading scorer and was helped out by Kelly Guarino and Maeve Parahus For the Knights, Theresa Jelalian put up 14 of her team's 32 points.
