Daily Sports Digest: 10-11 All-Stars District Run Ends With Loss

The Nanuet Little League 9-10 all-stars were eliminated from the District 18 tournament last night after an 11-10 loss to Congers.
It was the second loss of the tournament for Nanuet, which also lost to Pearl River on Sunday.

Nanuet To Host Softball Section Finals Tonight
The New City Little League 9-10 softball all-star team ran through the District 18 tournament earlier this summer without losing a game, and tonight it looks to do the same in the Section 4 tournament.
With a win tonight against Wappingers Falls, New City will win the section tournament without dropping a game. They play at 6:30 p.m. at Lake Nanuet.
Should New City win, it will advance to the state tournament in Syracuse, which starts July 18. If Wappingers Falls is to the win the section tournament, it will have to beat New City twice, as it’s a double elimination tournament. New City beat Wappingers Falls 9-3 on Tuesday in the semifinals.
