Knights Compete At States

Nanet High School sent a few competitors to this weekend’s New York State Track and Field Championships at Cicero-North Syracuse High School.
The best finish came on the boys side courtesy of Robert Tutein, who finished seven in the high jump with a distance of 1.93 meters. Also competing for the boys was Tom Flannery, who finished 21st in the pentathlon. The competition is made up of five events, the 110 meter hurdles (Flannery finished 22nd), high jump (21st), shot put (21st), long jump (23rd) and  1,500 meter run (2nd).

On the girls side, the best finish for Nanuet came in the 4x800 meter relay, where Megan Young, Deanna Feliccissimo, Brooke Madry and Lauren Fernandez finished 15th. Individually, Young finished 35th in the 800 meter run and Mary Kate O'Meara finished 22nd in the 3,000 meter run.
