The countdown's begun. Only 22 days left until the build of the Highview Community Playground. After about 11 months of planning, the Steering Committee is hosting a community meeting to get everyone back up to speed on the developments done so far and what's left to be done.
The meeting is at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13 at the Nanuet High School auditorium.

There will be information about the playground, ways the community can still help and committee members will be present to answer all your questions. Also, while parents are in the auditorium, the Children's Committee will keep kids busy with playground-related activities.
"Please come out to this community meeting and find out how you can help, whether it's volunteering or sponsoring something for the playground," said Mazzaro. "Every little bit helps."
