High School Track & Field: Albertus Magnus vs. JFK Catholic

Patch stopped by Albertus Magnus High School in Bardonia for their track meet against John F. Kennedy Catholic High School from Somers. This had been the Falcons' first track meet in a few years. The final scores are:

A lot of work went into preparing for the track meet:

• Tom Festa rebuilt the discus cage
• Coach Ralph and Coach Dave worked on the long/triple jump pit and filled it with new sand. They also re-dug the shot put area, lined it with boards and put down a weed barrier.
• The trees and branches overhanging the track on the south end were trimmed
• The pole vault and high jump equipment were in full use. The Falcon Spiked Shoe Club, FSSC, helped purchase this equipment. 

The FSSC bought two perpetual trophies and the winning team will keep them until the two meet again next year. Below are the results:
