Nanuet Baseball Remains Undefeated After Hosting Ardsley
The Golden Knights beat the Ardsley Panthers on Friday
The Golden Knights baseball team was host to the Ardsley Panthers on Friday afternoon. After starting the season 2-0, the Knights looked to get their third victory and remain undefeated. With great pitching and the help of a pair of monster shots (a home run and a triple) that tallied six runs, Nanuet was able to cruise to a 9-0 victory and remain undefeated in the season.
“We’ve been playing well to start the year,” said Nanuet Head Coach Phil Carbone. “This is a young team so we have to be careful out there. We had one injury today and ended up having to make five moves because of it. We’ve got Albertus on Monday and we’ll just continue to work hard.”
”It was great to extend the lead like that and get the team a little breathing room,” said Nanuet's Ben Bohlke. “Our pitching was great. They held them scoreless. We also fielded the ball well, didn’t make any real mistakes on defense. That helps out a lot.”
