Tomorrow: Nanuet & Pearl River Little League Season Openers

It's that time of year again when the little ones proudly don their uniforms and caps. Little league season has officially begun. On Saturday, Mar 31, expect a large crowd and a few elected officials to show up for opening day for both Nanuet and Pearl River's little leagues.

For Nanuet LL, there's a countdown on its website as well as the opening day photo schedule. The kids will walk team by team in a opening day parade from to the Little League fields at Lake Nanuet beginning at 8 a.m.

Once everyone has gathered at Wilhelm Field, the opening day ceremonies will commence, followed by games throughout the day. Check out this for photos and videos of last year's parade and opening ceremony.

A couple minutes away on the Anderson Little League Field Complex in Orangeburg, Pearl River LL will have its opening day with an 8:30 game followed by opening ceremonies at 10:30 a.m. 

There will also a game after the ceremonies. They will be giving trophies to teams that won championships last year, including the junior girls team, who won the state title. The major boys and boys 10s both won section and division championships.
