Last Chance: RSVP For Patch's Social Media Workshop

Here's what's going on around town.

for Patch's Main Street U, to be held 6 to 8 p.m. on July 23 at Clarkstown Town Hall. It's a free, two-hour event designed to teach business owners how to improve their connection to the community online.

Business owners can learn about how to take better advantage of social media tools such as Facebook and Twitter, with mini-workshops delivered by Patch staffers, community bloggers and social media experts on how to use Patch and add your own content to the online conversation. Click to RSVP.

The  is Wednesday, July 18 from 5 - 7 p.m. at . All U.S. veterans are welcome at the Technology Center, Ellipse (first floor). Find out if you qualify for the new Veterans Retraining Assistance Program (VRAP) or discuss your academic future. Learn about RCC’s services for veterans and speak with representatives of the Admissions, Disability Services, Financial Aid and Veterans Affairs offices, as well as faculty members.
