Avoid The Heat At A Rockland County Cooling Center

National Weather Service announces Heat Advisory until 6 p.m. and possiblity of severe thunderstorms later.

 

The rest of the afternoon promises to remain brutally hot and humid with temperatures hovering near the 100 degree mark or higher. The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory until 6 p.m. and a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 9 p.m.  

One option for avoiding the heat is going to one of Rockland County's cooling centers. They are open today in the five towns and numerous villages for residents. Information about their locations and operating hours follows. 

Clarkstown

There are no additional services offered at these locations. These are locations for people to go and sit to be cool.
