Space Shuttle Sighting

Check out these photos of the Space Shuttle on the barge down in New York City

Today I went down to the city to see the Space Shuttle on the barge. It was a fantastic sight and a sunny day. I also saw the CBS 2 weather van and reporter.

Editor's Note:

Residents in New York City and on up the Hudson River through Ossining got a chance to see the Space Shuttle Enterprise on top of a 747 for a flyover in April.

Built in 1976 as a prototype, the ship was never be used on a real space mission but instead played a vital roll in NASA's high altitude test flights and other testing modalities.

On Wednesday, the Enterprise sat on top of a barge as it was towed on the Hudson River on its way to the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum to be on display permanently.
