Area Fitness Instructor Raising Money For Young Cancer Patient

This week, local Zumba instructor Pauline Henriques will be selling raffle tickets in order to benefit a student in the East Ramapo School district who is suffering from terminal brain cancer.

The student, whose name is being withheld due to confidentiality requests from her family, has been fighting the disease valiantly for some time and has undergone several rounds of chemo therapy. The money raised from the raffle will go to her family to help offset the costs incurred by her illness.

“We will dedicate this week to this ‘little angel’. We will be raffling off prizes at $5 per ticket or $20 for five.  All money will be donated to help this family.  We will call the raffle on Saturday, you need not be present to win,” said Henriques. “If you would also like to make a donation just let us know at the front desk.  I can't imagine what this family is going through, but I pray they will know they are not alone through our generosity.”
