Knickerbocker Preps For Warm Weekend Weather

It's Saturday Jan. 28 (11:00am – dark) and Sunday, Jan. 29 (11:00am to 4:00pm). Admission is free; parking is $8.00.

 

With the high temperature reaching 50 degrees this weekend, the sunny climate threatens the . However, organizers are tackling that issue. Maria Rodd, an organizer with the festival, said that "everything's on target."

"The ice carvings are on dry ice and under wraps and they won't be uncovered until tomorrow," she said. "They'll hold out for the weekend. We had to move some of the activities to more solid ground (away from muddy areas)."

They also have plans to make snow for children and the kid activites. There will also be a shuttle bus going back and forth between the festival at Rockland Lake State Park and in Congers.
