Nanuet Business To Sell HGTV Raffles for People to People

Raffle sales from the sweepstakes are going toward People to People, Rockland's largest food pantry. $10 tickets can be purchased at Leader Carpet in Nanuet as well as select locations throughout the county and upcoming events

 

Paul Marks, owner of Leader Carpet in Nanuet, is giving away a and the sales from the $10 raffles will be donated to People to People, Rockland’s largest food pantry

The makeover includes $10,000 worth of flooring and the other $10,000 secured HGTV star Taniya Nayak to come and design and oversee the whole project. 

The sweepstakes runs until Oct. 26. Although raffles can be purchased at Leader Carpet or on their website, Marks is also hitting the streets to sell the raffles. 

There will be a table for raffle sales with information set up in front of Stop & Shop in New City on Saturday from 11 a.m. - 3  p.m.

On Sunday, there will also be a table at Boulder Stadium in Pomona on Sunday during the flea market from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

There will also be a block party at Leader Carpet from 1 – 4 p.m. on October 13 with a rain date on Oct. 14. The party will feature the Mighty Spectrum Band.

“It's a win-win  for everyone involved and we couldn't be happier to be bringing this into Rockland County,” said Marks.

This is just ridiculous. There are two aspects to our water. Supply and demand. United WaterRead More control our supply and have been instructed by the NY Public Service Commission to increase our supply. Our politicians control our demand. They could enact legislation to restrict demand tomorrow: Introduce water saving measures, restrict growth and introduce incentives and policies to conserve, but do they? No, of course not, they would rather showboat and slam UW, who are doing what the State has mandated. If our local politicians are serious on this issue, propose real legislation and water conservation measure, not just baseless rebuke of UW.
