Nanuet Lions Launch First Ever Pie Drive for Vision Causes

Orders will be taken until Sunday, Nov. 20

If you're looking for a pie this Thanksgiving, get into the spirit of giving back by buying one for a good cause. The Nanuet Lions, a volunteer service organization, is hosting their first pie drive "Pies for Eyes."

"We have partnered with a bakery to provide handmade quality pies to fundraise for our cause," said Past President Barbara Chuck. "Proceeds of your purchase will go directly to our fundraiser."

The Nanuet Lions supports several causes including vision services such as Guiding Eyes for the Blind and White Cane Day. Their other causes include diabetes, hearing and a range of disability causes.

All fresh-baked pies are made with quality ingredients and for those concerned with allergen information, the bakery does use nuts, eggs and dairy products in many of their pies.

They're taking pie orders now until Nov. 20. Pies will be available for pick up on Wednesday, Nov. 23 between 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. Call 845.536.0928 to buy a pie for the holidays.
