Nanuet Little League: Registration Opens, Free Clinics

The Super Bowl's over and although basketball's still going on, registration for little leauge has begun. The Nanuet Little League is looking for kids to sign up for the 2012 Spring season.

"We want to make sure people in the community (particularly those with younger children) are aware of the league and that registration for the Spring 2012 season is open," said Todd Jones, who is on the Board of Directors of the Nanuet Little League.

There are two upcoming free indoor clinics, both at the Nanuet Family Resource Center (St. Agatha’s) gym on Convent Road in Nanuet.

Feb. 11: Clinic for K and 1st Grade Boys and Girls (T-Ball)

  • 4 – 50 Minute Time Slots
  • (1:00-1:50, 2:00-2:50, 3:00-3:50, 4:00-4:50)
  • 30 kids per timeslot 

Feb. 25: Clinic for 2nd & 3rd Grade Boys (Baseball)

  • 2 – 50 minute time slots 
  • (1:00-1:50 and 2:00-2:50)
  • 25 kids per time slot 

 

Feb. 25: Clinic for 2nd & 3rd Grade Girls (Softball)

  • 2 – 50 minute time slots
  • (3:00-3:50 and 4:00-4:50)
  • 25 kids per time slot

About NLL

Nanuet Little League is based in the hamlet of Nanuet in Rockland County and is a member league of N.Y. District 18 of Little League, Inc. Our league features baseball and softball programs for boys and girls ages 5 to 18.

Nanuet Little League was founded in 1959 and its total enrollment is currently approximately 500 players. The objective of the League shall be to implant firmly in the children of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority, so that they may be well adjusted, stronger and happier children and will grow to be good, decent, healthy and trustworthy citizens. 

To achieve this objective, Nanuet Little League will provide a supervised program under the Rules and Regulations of Little League Baseball, Inc. All directors, officers and members shall bear in mind that attainment of exceptional athletic skill or the winning of games is secondary, and the molding of future citizens is of prime importance.

Little League Parent/Volunteer Pledge

I will teach all children to play fair and do their best

I will positively support all managers, coaches and players

I will respect the decisions of the umpires
