Tomorrow: Get a Haircut, Support the Highview Playground

Design Day for the Highview Playground is only a week away and over the next few weeks, many businesses and community members will be pitching in to help raise money and awareness of the playground's rebuilding project.

One such person is Ellen Lynch who owns the in Pearl River. She's holding a Cut-A-Thon fundraiser for the playground tomorrow. From 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., stop by and get your spring haircut. Proceeds will benefit the Highview Playground Project.

"I have two kids that attend George Miller (Elementary) school and who loved the playground!" said Lynch. "I've spoken to parents whose kids are involved in the girl scouts in Nanuet and they are excited in having a bake sale stand in the salon and I've also got my sister, whose an artist, to do some face painting. I'm very hopeful that we will have a great day."

Design Day is April 26 and the community's invited to come see the reveal of the future Highview Community Playground during the Community Celebration night at 7 p.m. at the Nanuet High School Auditorium. Come see what the playground is going to look like and to find out ways to help.
