Tomorrow: Wizard of Oz Live Production Comes to Nanuet

Tickets are $5 and are sold at the library or at the door

Dorothy and her crew are singing their way down the yellow brick road and into Nanuet. The Friends of the Nanuet Library present a live production of the Wizard of Oz at 7 p.m. Friday, July 8 at the 's auditorium. 

Admission is $5 per seat and tickets are available at the front desk and will be sold at the door.

"Join Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin man, and the Cowardly Lion as they come to life in an adaptation featuring the music of the MGM movie. Don’t worry, the flying monkeys are away on vacation and will not be attending this show," according to the Friends of the Nanuet Library.

"It’s a fun family night of live theater," said Bennie Nelson, President of the Friends of the Nanuet Library. "Spend an evening with Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz."

There will also be themed-novelty items for sale that night.

"Last year was a resounding success," said Nelson. "I encourage all to come out and proceeds go to the Friends of the Nanuet Library organization."

This organization is made up of volunteers that brings programs and other features to the library to improve the library services for the community. Those interested in joining should also contact the library
