Scare Up A Prize, Try Out The New Walkway

Cost: $90
Description: 50 minute Yoga class for boys and girls ages three to 13. 9 a.m.– 9:50 a.m. -Ages 3-5 – Mommy and me class, 10 a.m.– 10:50 a.m. - Ages 6 to 9, 11 a.m. – 11:50 a.m. - Ages 10 to 13. Registration is underway at the Administration Building at 31 Zukor Road, in New City Allow kids to feel empowered, strong and free as they explore their own bodies through yoga. They will be able to bring balance into their lives using movement, expression and breath. The benefits of yoga for kids are endless. All abilities welcomed mats and props included. Congers Goblin Parade And Trailway Ribbon Cutting
Where: Congers Lake Memorial Park, 6 Gilchrest Road, Congers
When: Saturday, Oct. 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Cost: Free
Description: Registration for costume contest and judging of costumes starts at 11 a.m. and ends at 12 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for each age and costume category. The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Congers boardwalk takes place at 12 p.m. There will be a Guided Fitness Walk at 12:30 p.m. led by Fitness Bootcamp 4 Life Owner and Head Coach Ramon Guzman. He will lead a health walk and talk around the new loop a distance of 2.6 miles. Learn how to maximize daily walks or runs and about taking your pulse, stretching, eating and selecting the proper shoes. There will also be Halloween games, refreshments, a horse drawn hayride and bounce castle. For more information call 845-639-6200.
Heritage of West Nyack Fall Festival
Where: 131 Germonds Road, West Nyack next to Germonds Park
When: Sunday, Oct. 20 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Cost: Free admission, fees for some activities
Description: Showcasing the Traphagen House and the Vanderbilt/Budke House. Includes fun family activities: pumpkin picking, decorating, and painting; petting zoo provided by Nickel-O Farms; line dancing; face painting; children’s games; honeybee presentation; guided nature walk; food vendors and free mini golf.
