Spring Valley Man Gets Prison Sentence For Nanuet Burglary

Money stolen from local business.

A Spring Valley man has been sentenced to 2 ½ to 5 years in state prison for burglarizing a Nanuet business.

Robert McDonald, 53, of 14 Lafayette St., Spring Valley, was sentenced by Acting State Supreme Court Judge William K. Nelson as a result of pleading guilty to third-degree burglary. 

District Attorney, Thomas P. Zugibe said McDonald broke a window and entered  “Camp Bow Wow,” 111 Route 304, Nanuet, on July 19, 2010, between midnight and 6:15 a.m. Money was stolen in the burglary.

McDonald was also linked to a second incident on Oct. 22, 2010, in which he broke into a building at 59 Route 59 in Monsey by breaking a window. Zugibe said McDonald was spotted in the building and fled before he could take anything.
