Community Corner

Hudson Valley Chorale Opens 2013-14 Season

Looking for a challenging and rewarding community chorus?

Come join the Hudson Valley Chorale (HVC).

We are looking for committed and enthusiastic singers! The HVC currently practices in Sparkill, NY at Dominican Convent Chapel, 175 Rte 340,  (Adjacent to St. Thomas Aquinas College and Thorpe Village; across from Venture Center and LIU), and welcomes new members in all vocal parts. Hudson Valley Chorale, a 25+ voice community choir founded in 2007, is comprised of singers 16 and over who share a passion for choral music. Under the direction of the renowned Dr. Jason Tramm, HVC performs a diverse repertoire for varied audiences.  You can visit, listen and participate in a rehearsal at any time to see if HVC is the group for you. Membership is open to singers who attend at least one full rehearsal and complete a brief vocal interview with our Artistic Director. The vocal interview is not an audition, but an opportunity for the Artistic Director to get to know the singer's vocal ability and general musical knowledge. It is also a time to review the requirements of membership and answer the singer's questions.  HVC members pay annual dues for the performance year to help cover operating expenses.  If you are interested in joining the HVC, please call Sue O’Brien at (845) 598-6749 or email us at hudsonvalleychorale@gmail.com
