Run for the Philippines

http://www.crowdrise.com/RunPhilippines/fundraiser/reformina

All funds will go to UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund) which has been working in the Philippines and is providing lifesaving help to children and families, including medical kits, tarpaulins, nutrition packets, water purification tablets, sanitation supplies, and other essentials in afflicted areas.

See how your funds will work for these desperate families when you consider your donation:

$250 –  School-In-A-Box Kit allows temporary classes up and running in 72 hours. Customized for local languages and select basic educational supplies it meets the needs of 1 teacher and 40 students to carry on classes for 3 months.

$100  – Micronutrient Powder Packets, delivers 2,700 packets of vitamins and minerals that boosts the immune system and gives twelve children the strength to survive disease and illness for seven and a half months.

$50 – Fleece Blankets for 8 children. Sounds like a simple item, but this sturdy cloak of fleece can be the difference between survival and suffering when shelter is scarce.

$26 – First Aid Kit, which contains a remarkable amount of practical equipment for treating cuts, minor burns and infections. With this kit, anyone, regardless of health training, can treat a small wound and protect a child from deadly infection.

Any amount you can donate will help provide relief. Thank you.
