Legislators Reunite Former Concentration Camp Survivor with WWII Soldier Who Liberated Camp

Two Rockland County legislators orchestrated a reunion between two people who met under extraordinary circumstances 68 years ago. World War II veteran Alan Moskin was just 18-years-old when he helped liberate a Nazi concentration camp. The grandmother of Legislator Aron B. Wieder was among those who were liberated back in May of 1945.

48 Rockland Road Runners finish the 2013 ING New York City Marathon

Stewart's Town Budget under 2% Tax Cap

Orangetown Supervisor Andy Stewart blogged this week about his proposed town budget for the coming year and argues that came in below the state-mandated 2 percent tax cap. He wrote, "...it was a fiscally conservative budget that kept the tax increase to just 1.9% while making significant cuts to the requests made by department heads."
