Tonight: Trunk or Treat at Nanuet HS

Stop by the Nanuet High School parking lot at 6 p.m. with your kids in costume

Like last year, a hurricane postponed halloween and trick or treating. With no school, kids are getting restless so a group of parents in Nanuet organized an event Friday night to get spirits up.

"A few of my girlfriends got the idea for a Trunk or Treat after talking about safety and fun for the kids this Halloween," said Nanuet Resident Jennifer Morgan. "Due to the circumstances, we thought we would throw this together. We are decorating our (car) trunks, or not, but will have the kids in costumes while they go from trunk to trunk collecting their treats."

The event is at 6 p.m. tonight in the Nanuet High School parking lot.

This is just ridiculous. There are two aspects to our water. Supply and demand. United WaterRead More control our supply and have been instructed by the NY Public Service Commission to increase our supply. Our politicians control our demand. They could enact legislation to restrict demand tomorrow: Introduce water saving measures, restrict growth and introduce incentives and policies to conserve, but do they? No, of course not, they would rather showboat and slam UW, who are doing what the State has mandated. If our local politicians are serious on this issue, propose real legislation and water conservation measure, not just baseless rebuke of UW.
