So stupid. What a waste of money distroying a mall and rebuilding another?! I hate Rockland sometimes--stop giving into corporate bolgnia !

They tore the mall down to be an open air mall. Simon never kept up the old mall peeling ceilings and escalators breaking down. Macys need a whole new building its so old inside especially. It should be turned into Bloomingdales as was said no duplicates at both malls. We have a much more modern three floor Macys at Palisades Mall.

Macy's owns their building so Simon Property can't change it to Bloomingdales unless Macy's decides to sell. Macy's will probably be staying though since they're renovating their upper parking lot entrance way.

Macys also owns Bloomingdales they were both part of Federated before they bought May co which owned Filenes at Palisades Mall So if they changed it to Bloomingdales they would still own the property as Alex Grommack said no duplicates at both Nanauet and Palisades malls. The parking is for the mall.
