Pets of the Week at Hi Tor Animal Care Center

Please come for a visit to see all of the wonderful animals waiting for a home or visit us at our new website www.hitoranimalshelter.org

Seven is a 9 year old female.  She has had her life turned upside down after having one home for all of her 9 years of life and doesn't understand why she is in a shelter.  She is quite frightened right now and really needs to be adopted into a quiet and loving home.

Braxton is a large 2 year old male. He is extremely affectionate and wants very much to please. He has started working on his commands, and he shows great potential because right from the start he sits quietly by his cage awaiting his leash. Although anxious for a walk, he has enough self control to sit patiently when he needs to do so. He would fit well with a family with an active lifestyle but who also wants to relax with a mush.

Call Hi Tor Animal Care Center at 845-354-7900 or visit our website www.hitoranimalshelter.org to find out more about these and other pets awaiting a home, events and other ways you can help.  Adoption fees vary depending on the type of animal and their age. Fees for cats range from $75 to $150 and dogs range from $150 to $250. Adoption fees include: inoculations, micro-chipping, leash and collar, and spay or neutering.

This is just ridiculous. There are two aspects to our water. Supply and demand. United WaterRead More control our supply and have been instructed by the NY Public Service Commission to increase our supply. Our politicians control our demand. They could enact legislation to restrict demand tomorrow: Introduce water saving measures, restrict growth and introduce incentives and policies to conserve, but do they? No, of course not, they would rather showboat and slam UW, who are doing what the State has mandated. If our local politicians are serious on this issue, propose real legislation and water conservation measure, not just baseless rebuke of UW.
