Let’s All Help Build a Home for a Hero: 
Giving Back to Those Who Have Given So Much

Homes For Heroes is teaming up with the Palisades Center for a fun day of shopping to benefit our brave Veterans! You’ll be out shopping anyway for back to school or to fill your child’s dorm room, so please help us fill a Veteran’s room, too. Homes For Heroes volunteers will be on hand in the parking lot outside Bed, Bath & Beyond with large bins ready to be filled up by shoppers. Just go into the mall to buy household goods to help make our Veterans feel at home, like bedding, towels, rugs, vacuum cleaners, etc. (We’ll supply a list of needed items & gift cards welcomed!) Then come out and help fill our bins to the brim. Love to shop? Go back for more! It’s all to help our Veterans and neighbors get a fresh start at life.
Homes for Heroes, a 501[c]3 not-for-profit, is in the final stages of building rental apartments that are being built specifically and only for our honorably discharged, disabled and displaced, men and women Veterans, who will be referred by the Veterans Administration. Our Veterans will be coming to Homes for Heroes homeless and with little or no belongings, so please come out and SHOP ‘TIL YOU DROP FOR OUR VETERANS! For more info, please call 845-735-0515. WHERE: PALISADES CENTER, Parking lot next to Bed, Bath & Beyond, 1000 Palisades Center Dr. (Off Rt. 59), W. Nyack, N.Y.
WHEN: Wednesday, August 14, 2013, 10 AM – 4 PM*
WHY: 20% of all US homeless are Veterans. 
Even one homeless Veteran is one too many!

Homes For Heroes volunteers will also accept gift cards purchased at the Palisades Center Center and will be happy to do the shopping for you to help our deserving Veterans!
