Last Chance: Hi Tor Fundraiser, Nanuet Cleanup

, Rockland's only animal shelter, is facing financial difficulties and needs help with upgrading the current condition of the building. There is a movie fundraiser Wednesday, April 11 at 11 a.m., benefitting Hi Tor. Go enjoy a screening of "Napoleon," the adventures of  Labradaor puppy, a special guest appearance of Jeffrey & The Frog of The Bossy Frog Band. Tickets $10 each, proceeds benefit  Hi-Tor Animal Care Center, Inc.

Cosponsored by the Friends of the Nanuet Library and the Sierra Club, Paul Reale of the Climate Reality Project will present a free illustrated lecture on Friday, April 13 at 7 p.m. He'll discuss:

: Keep Rockland Beautiful is coordinating many community cleanups as part of the 2012 Great American Cleanup. Come and join your friends and neighbors in a day of fun and community service. Nanuet's on April 14 and you can pick up clean up supplies from 10-2 p.m. at  in Nanuet. Raindate is April 15th.
