Rockland Family Shelter

The Rockland Family Shleter will be hosting their 13th Annual Distinguished Citizen Award Dinner on Sunday May 6, 2012 honoring nationally recognized Journalist and Activist Gloria Steinem.

Gloria Steinem was on the forefront of the Women's Liberation Movement of the late 60's and 70's, she was a columnist for New York magazine and co-founded Ms. magazine.

The Rockland Family Shelter is a non-profit grassroots organization, dedicated to serving domestic violence and sexual assault victims and their families. Through their direct services, education and advocacy the Rockland Family Shelter has worked hard to "create a community where women and children can live with dignity and equality, free from abuse."
