---Original Story---

The design is pretty much done other than some minor tweaks. Now that the design committee knows what it's going to look like, fundraising representatives are going to the public with the components list of items in the playground design.

Put your stamp on the future Highview Playground by sponsoring one or more items from this list.

Items include:

  • Swings
  • Slides
  • Peaks
  • Benches
  • Trees
  • the Rock Wall
  • and much more...

"This playground, it's two fold," said Steering Committee Vice President CJ Bottitta. "1. It's an opportunity to have a long lasting presence in this playground. 2. There are people who want to help, but don't know how. If you have a dollar amount in mind, I'll find out what best fits you."

All items seen in the playground design is available for sponsorship. There are also discounts available when sponsoring multiples of the same item such as swings, trees, etc...

The playground has three areas: the school-age kids, the tot lot and the music cove, which has three musical instruments for ADA children. There are area sponsorship opportunities in which one can sponsor a particular area. For example, if you become a Tot Lot title sponsor or Music Cove Title Sponsor, then it could be called the Jane Doe Tot Lot, Rockland Company Music Cove or Tot Lot in Memory of Jane Doe.

Lastly, for those that don't have enough money to become a title sponsor, be creative and team up with your neighbors, friends, family or company.

"We were able to save a wooden castle peak from the original playground," said Don Franchino, chair of the Fundraising committee. "The peak will be on top of a tower in the new playground and will become our donor board." On this 4-sided donor board tower, sponsors will be recognized with each side being a different level based on amount donated.

For details on the full list of components available and pricing, contact CJ Bottitta at CJ@HighviewPlayground.com. Act fast though. Once the components are sold, they're gone.

Note: The final display is TBD based on final safety specifications and playground environment
