Deadline Today: Buy a Brick Paver for Highview Playground

Be remembered in the brick walkway around the playground

The Highview Community Playground's fundraising barometer is now up to 45 percent and the rummage sale this past weekend was a big success. But there's still more to do to reach that target goal by the October Build Date.

Today's the deadline to get those brick paver forms in and "preserve your name, or that of a loved one, well into the new millennium."

There are four styles of brick pavers are available:

  • 4″ x 8″ – 3 lines, 16 characters per line – $100
  • 8″ x 8″ – 6 lines, 16 characters per line – $150

There are options for family gathering placements to have bricks be placed together and clipart is included in the price, but reduces the number of lines and characters available. Please see the form for details. The form is attached to this article and can be found on the playground website.

“The enthusiasm was contagious,” Franchino said referring to the “barn-raising” of the first playground 20 years ago. “There’s going to be a brink fundraiser. We’re going to sell bricks for the park’s walkway; that’s going to be for the community to buy into being a part of the playground.” A few thousand bricks will be sold and engraved. The size and placement of the brick depends on the donation amount.

Buy a brick as a neighborhood, sports team, club or in memory of someone you love, while supporting the new Highview Playground at the same time.
