A Wondrous Journey

On Thursday, October 13 at 4pm, the Tappan Library welcomes Lynn Cluess Manzione, author of A Wondrous Journey: A Small Book with Big Lessons. The biography chronicles Dr. Martha MacGuffie's lifelong work and lasting legacy. Among the doctor’s many accomplishments, she started the burn unit at Nyack Hospital with which she remained affiliated for more than half a century before retiring from her own practice in her mid-eighties. A staunch humanitarian, she developed a non-profit designed to bring medical care to the poorest areas of Kenya.
