Annual Blood Drive on Monday at Nanuet HS

The blood drive is on Monday, Nov. 19 from 2:30 - 8 p.m. at the Nanuet High School

Give back this holiday season by donating blood. There will be a blood drive on Monday, Nov. 19 from 2:30 - 8 p.m. at the Nanuet High School.

Although you have to be 18 to give blood, Nanuet students under 18 are also pitching in by volunteering that day as well.

"The Nanuet Blood Drive is a 30-year Tradition. With the season of giving upon us, what more meaningful way to share that sense of giving than with your donation to save a life. Blood donations represent real-life situations of life and death, and your one pint of blood can mean all the difference! Please come and be a part of this special community of givers," said Chris O'Hara, one of the drive's organizers. "Just one hour of your time can provide the gift of life to those in desperate need."

In the past, the blood drives have been dedicated to a person's memory.

This is just ridiculous. There are two aspects to our water. Supply and demand. United WaterRead More control our supply and have been instructed by the NY Public Service Commission to increase our supply. Our politicians control our demand. They could enact legislation to restrict demand tomorrow: Introduce water saving measures, restrict growth and introduce incentives and policies to conserve, but do they? No, of course not, they would rather showboat and slam UW, who are doing what the State has mandated. If our local politicians are serious on this issue, propose real legislation and water conservation measure, not just baseless rebuke of UW.

He originally attempted to text the announcement to a bunch of youths, but he mistakenly sent it toRead More senior citizens.
