Two Days Of February Break Will Be School Days

It's official. Nanuet School District students will have to attend classes on what were originally scheduled to be Mid-Winter Recess days in February.  School Superintendent Mark McNeill announced the district will make up the two snow days taken this year on Thursday, Feb. 20th and Friday, Feb. 21st.

The February break was originally scheduled for Monday, Feb. 17th through Friday, Feb. 21st.  But the school closings on January 3rd and January 21st resulted in two of those days becoming school days.

The district’s plans for inclement weather closing days are listed in its print calendar as well as the online version. If school is closed a third time prior to the vacation, the makeup day will be Wednesday, Feb. 19th.

School will now be in session on Thursday and Friday, February 20-21 as make-up days for Friday, January 2 and Tuesday, January 21 when we were closed due to the snow.

If we have any additional snow days between now and February 14, school will also be in session on Wednesday, February 19.

These are the make-up days noted in the District Calendar.

Thank you.

Mark S. McNeill
